Big wheels....wow

ok so i ride a 29er and its got some big advantages, but this is too much. a 36er. yup 36" wheels. lots of rolling momentum, ability to roll over anything.
but how do you stop? how heavy are those wheels? toe lap crazy and just look at the rake on that fork. geez.
this is a black sheep and they know thier shit, but come on guys. i cannot afford another bike, nor have the room to stash it.
just keep repeating with me; "i don't want one", "i don't want one", "i do want one", damm why do i want one? i couldn't even imagine where to ride such a beast.

Ouch, brach in the leg

ok so i don't know this guy, nor know much of the story other than the branch got kicked up from the guy in front of him and wham....
they had to cut the rest of the branch and ship him to the hospital. this stirs the amature doctor in me. don't get near me if your hurt bad. i will do feild surgery without a blink of an eye.
luckly i have been hurt enough to know what to do and usualy carry a good first aid kit. also i am a first responder, emt, k9 search and rescue, and a steady brave hand.

Training feels good!!!

well it does when you have been off for some weeks with a hurt back. my back is sore, but not in pain from much else. good!!

yesterday went to solitude to ride the trails. some trail workers were moving snow blowing guns around and told me i couldn't ride the trails because of them. bummer....

rode up guardsmans pass, up puke hill, then almost to the spine and doubled back because i would have to ride back up to my car at solitude. i know....what? you drove up the mountain instead of riding up? yeah i was saving my back.

well after coming back down puke hill i rode back up. well so much for resting my back. i noticed i could see all of solitude pretty well and the snow blowers were only in front of the lodge. so i rode down there. did a couple of laps(serinity to kruzer to lodge) and then rode up the new trail queen bess. it is a new freeride rolling/bermed trail and much fun. funner going down than up.

today i resolved for recovery so i only rode my bike a tanner doggy park with the pups. i could have gone for a ride, but my new years resolution, no overtraining. that is my "achilles heel".

bought some warmer clothes today. ya know its colder here than sunny california. my winter shorts were just not cutting it.

pics for the day will be in the above blog.
