Hot Shot neoprene gloves review......

so i was going thru my glove drawer and pulls these bad boys out from the bottom. oh yeah. i totally forgot i had these. why don't i use them....hmmm..

so i used them a couple of days a go and froze my fingers off.

they are 4mm neoprene and not waterproof. water resistant, yes. i opted for the nonwaterproof ones because the others make your hand sweat and then they are cold and wet.

these are good down to 40 degrees and not much more. even with a liner on they do not hold much heat in. they do not block the wind and they do not breath very well.

they are CRAP!!! for cycling. thats why i don't use them.....get a thinner version for liners, but don't bother with thicker neoprene glove for cycling in the cold.

so...saturday's ride was 15x2mins intervals at 185 HR, plus one hour of 175 Hr. felt good to stress the motor a little more. my body really likes to rev higher and i miss it during this time of year.

sunday was a 2 hour hike in two feet of snow using xc poles for upper body and the dogs loved it(wouldn't you?).

monday(today) rode for two hours of rolling hills and managed about 25 micro burst(30 seconds) all out sprints. also fitted in two 15 min TT's at 180. ave HR was 170. mostly in the streets and clear of snow and dryish.

also been riding to work this week. so tack on three 30 min TT's of hills at 180 HR. on consecutive days(fri,sat,sun).


seems like with working six hours of physical work a day(low HR but lifting and standing, "core" work-out), riding to work, hiking the dogs and bike work outs, i am up to about 12-15 hours plus 30 hours core at work. not bad.....lower back gets close to burning out sometimes. must watch that!!
