but the best example was at frozen hog 2009 when i pushed my heavy pug to the front on the after the start and actually ran/pushed up most of the hills due to unridable conditions.
here is millcreek xc ski condition. good amount of snow compared to how hot it has been. i little slushy, but not bad for skate skiing.
it was good all the way up to the yurt. got a bit colder near the top. due mostly from over cast skys today.
so mostly i hike with he dogs. the husky just wants to pee on other dogs pee and the hyper little one is of course "ball" crazy. don't know how she does it, but she finds a ball in any river we go. no matter where, no matter how. it way take a while or not, but she always finds a tennis ball.
my girl has moxy!!! a search and rescue dog playing find the ball in the snow.

OCR, have you written a review of the Racing Ralphs? I am thinking about 2.2 in rear and 2.4 in front would be a sweet combo for racing/riding. Is that what you are running? Any issues with 2.4 in front with the F29 fork? Any sidewall issues with them? Thanks for the info.
I'll have to introduce myself at the St. George race, I will be in the Expert 30-39 category wearing Racer's Cycle Service kit. Of course I won't be the only one.

JZ,
i run a 2.4 RR in front and a michelin xt ac 2.2 in back. its a great combo for snow and can clear/shed mud amazingly.
its fast rolling and grips fairly well in the hard/dry.
this combo tends to wash out on very loose conditions due to small knobby height. i use a IRD fire pro in back for that.
no issues with rubbing the 2.4's on the front. had only slight rubbing on back during extreme flex. side knob trimming and it went away.
the casing on the RR is very thin and soft. playing with psi will give you like three differnt kinds of tires on the 2.4 and two differnt tires on the 2.2
some people have had sidewall tearing issues, i have not even though i have run these alot in rough rock gardens at speed on a hardtail, now ridgid.
this is my third tire on front and have completely worn down the priors. i put many many miles on my bike. very happy so far with them and weight is really good for the volume.
the volume is what first attracted me to this tire for the front. btw i run them tubless, makes a big differnce if you air down.
a 2.2 RR on the back would be light/fast, but sacrificeing traction unless you use 20-23 psi. then they would have super grip.
please come up and introduce yourself as i am meeting new riders all the time and welcome more friends as well.
we might have rode together on kenny's squaw peak and frozen hog.
you "racer cycle" guys are fast!!! i wish i was further along on my training, but ehhh, baby steps i suppose. its my come back year after a long break.
i won't have the team kit yet(revolution), but will be wearing a sleeveless white jersey(tattoo sleeves in full effect) or an all black top.
Thanks for the review. Yeah, I was at the Frozen Hog. That was a lot of fun in a perverse sort of way.
I live near the mouth of Millcreek Canyon, I will keep an eye out for you out training. I ride Millcreek a ton and 21 minutes is not too shabby.
I live "at" the mouth of millcreek. Howdy neighbor. Let's go riding!
