Don’t Say She Lost

08.5.2009 | 8:40 pm

Susan died tonight (August 5) at 7:25pm. It was a hard, long day, and Susan fought right to the end, for much longer than anyone would have thought she could.

My mom, my sisters Kellene and Jodi, and my Brother-in-Law Rocky were all here to support my family as Susan passed away.

I’ll have more to say soon, but consider this. Susan inspired me to expand the focus of my blog from nothing but bike-related jokes to a serious and pitched fight against cancer.

Then she inspired 500+ of you to join Team Fatty, the largest LiveStrong Challenge Team there has ever been.

And Team Fatty has raised close to more than $500,000 — a record amount.

Susan’s part in the battle is over, but she didn’t lose. She led the charge. She showed the rest of us how to fight: with determination, focus, creativity, and outrageous endurance.

Now it’s up to the rest of us to Fight Like Susan.

Elden i cried when i read this, but am reminded of both your strength and love.
please accepted a virtual hug and condolences from myself and family.

as always fight like susan we chant.

everbody please visit donate to his cancer fund and honor a wonderful family that was graced by susan.

Corner canyon, clarks trail, brocks point?, jacobs ladder with brady

this is a tale of two grey vassagos that look the same but completely different. major differences, mine is rigid and lighter parts, A-C on fork puts my front end 1" lower.
i don't like brady's hayes stoker brakes, his conti front tire and rear thumb shifters. our bike ride very very different.

the seat tube got shifted during welding, but it still works

anyways here we start up corner canyon. the partial shade made this 100 degree day a bit more bearable.
made it to clarks and up we went.
top of clarks we shifted down the fire road and climbed up jacobs ladder only to descend it. fun and swoopy trail.
then up the trail brocks point? dunno the name of it. and down clarks back to the bottom.

brady is a strong rider and a good gage on how i am doing. he has been riding 5-6 days a week so today was a little beat, but keeped up no problem.
