started at the collins trailhead. here we are getting ready.
matt and his sexy chest. broken zipper was the actual problem.
the first part was a lot of steady climbing with long switch backs followed by rolling uphill. i enjoyed it, but soon came to the conclusion that i did not get enough sleep and carrying a 25 pound backpack when i haven't carried one all year was a big mistake. i became the "red lantern" for the rest of the ride.

we crossed great western trail and rode up big water(yes the steep trail) up to dog lake and then back down little water
raced down millcreek road to connect with pipeline at elbow fork. doug over cooked a small rocky section and poked a hole in the top of his tubless tire. a quick tube in and we are back on the trail.

i parted with the group at box elder because i have gotten to hate the beginning decent of rattlesnake gulch trail at the end of pipeline. too rutty and dusty. so rode down on the road and climbed up rattlesnake to meet them coming down.
we cruzed back to the lot and made our way home..
