Triona Ni Dhomhnaill Song: When I Was A Fair Maid, Claudine Langille

i learned this song last night. the triona version has been a favorite for quite sometime.
traditionally this is a sailor song sung by men. recently(last 40 years) it has been popular with female voices.


Claudine Langille plays it on a four string banjo like i do.






the Triona Ni Dhomhnaill version is much better, but alas there is no you tube version of it yet. only this.
